Bolt Action KV-1/KV-2 Heavy Tank (2025)

This plastic box is absolutely crammed packed with the might of mother Russia, allowing you to build either a KV-1 heavy tank or a KV-2 close support tank.

The KV-1 is a huge monster of a vehicle, at 45 tonnes it was one of Russia's first heavy breed of tanks. Famed for its near impregnability, early war German anti-tank weaponry had almost no way of penetrating its armour. Its size allowed KV-1s to literally crush anything beneath its giant treads, and the 76.2mm cannon punched through any of the contemporary German armour, so during 1941 it was nigh-unstoppable.

Over the following years it did fall out of favour, but it was used as the base for the next generation of heavy tanks.

The KV-2 was developed for close support against infantry, guns and bunkers. Just like the KV-1 it was very heavily armoured and boasted an even greater size with a height of 12 feet (4 meters)!

Armed with a huge 152mm howitzer the KV-2s became bunker busters, though they were cumbersome beasts and only a few survived to be part of the defence of Moscow.

In games of Bolt Action the KV-1 is a Heavy Tank with an medium anti-tank gun and the KV-2 is a Heavy Tank with a heavy howitzer. Both can be fielded in any armoured platoon.
